One: Come to worship and bow down before the One God 

One: If we say we have no sin, the truth is not in us. Knowing that God, even when we sin, remains faithful still, let us confess our sin together.
All:  You are the God who saves, and we are your people. We confess, O God, that many others claim they can save us, many others demand our allegiance, many others say theirs is the way, and we are tempted. When everyone else is doing it, and we know we are being watched, and the powers that be say they hold our lives in their hands, it is so easy to give in. Just a little compromise here and there, just doing it for the show so we can fly under the radar, just keeping our seat at the table?4=?()

All: God our helper, by your Holy Spirit, open our minds, that as the scriptures are read and your word is proclaimed, we may be led into your truth and taught your will, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.
