Our Wedding Consultant is Ms. Sue Cooper ~ 760-321-2693; Ms. Cooper schedules all weddings and places those dates on the church calendar. Please contact her prior to making any other arrangements.
If the person you have chosen to officiate at your wedding is not the pastor of the Palm Springs Presbyterian Church, we do have to approve his or her credentials. The officiant can be a clergy person from another Presbyterian Church or another denomination; he or she can also be a person licensed by the State of California to officiate at weddings such as a Justice of the Peace or someone else licensed and then approved by the Palm Springs Presbyterian Church's Session (governing board).
We want you to feel free to help design your own wedding service as you work with the person officiating at your wedding; or you can use a traditional service.
Most weddings require a rehearsal and we are delighted to help in that area also. For weddings and rehearsals we have a Wedding Consultant who will help guide the wedding party through all the preparations and activities of weddings; she will be your right hand at the rehearsal and on the day of your wedding.
The Couple-to-be is responsible for all floral arrangements; Wedding items such as a Unity Candle, white runner for the aisle, flowers or ribbons for the end of the pews, etc., are supplied by the Couple and can usually be found through your florist. The church provides regular candles.
